Spring colors are light bright green for cottonwoods, rust for moulting oaks. Old apple tree, new leaves. Old wood, new snake.  Paradise. Much activity in the new expanding garden this spring. New beds, plantings, shade. New pump platform, with plans to get water from the creek for the garden. It was great to have Claire and Kenny as guests for the month.  Thanks to them, we explored some of the far reaches of the land on horseback. They rode off into the sunset at month's end.  Welcome back, some day.
